For as long as I can remember, I've dreamt mainly of people I don't even know. Some children, some adults, etc. They always came to just me (night or day) and would never leave me alone. At first I didn't know what to make of it all - maybe I was over imaginative or there was something wrong with me? I kept seeing death, war and blood in my dreams - they really bothered me. I became almost afraid to go to sleep and couldn't get my "imaginary friends" out of my mind as a child.
I didn't realize back then that they weren't so "imaginary" because neither of my parents were the slightest bit open minded to spirituality (and still aren't) and no one took what I saw seriously. My mom thought there was something mentally wrong with me and my dad was just furious I was always up late and talking to "myself". But they just kept coming back.
My mom once (when I was about two) told me she saw me fine one minute, the next falling down a flight of stairs as though tripped by some invisible force. (I often have nightmares about falling now) I can't remember, but she says I cracked my skull and had to go to hospital... but strangely, didn't feel any pain. Not everyone I saw was meaning to cause harm. One ghost in particular, Danny, kept visiting me over and over again. I really enjoyed his company.
When I was about seven my little sister was born. That was the time I dreamt of seeing two little blond girls I had never met. After a few years, my sister told me she had a lot of imaginary friends of her own, one of which was named Chloe. Chloe visited her the most often. I, meanwhile, couldn't help but wonder if I was really seeing spirits/ghosts or if I was just crazy. One day at school (when I was either twelve or thirteen) the lights started flickering throughout the entire school - and no one but me to this day knows why. I could have sworn I saw some figures phase out of the room from the corner of my eye right before it happened. Objects in my room were never where I left them and my lights at home kept flickering - even after I changed the bulb. I didn't think they were imaginary, but wanted to make sure.
I soon told my sister how weird it was to see all the lights at school flicker. She smiled and told me: "Oh, that was just Chloe and her friends, Ellie and Grace." When she went to describe Chloe's friends, I found those were the girls from my recent dreams! My sister also mentioned Chloe had a brother named Danny. I was stunned to hear her describe him exactly as I had seen him - red hair, hazel eyes, sixteen, etc. My little sister and I talk a lot about spirits and ghosts now. I've found a lot of protection spells and kept talking to Tiffany, my guardian angel. She constantly guides, heals and helps me and was the reason I felt no pain when I fell down the stairs.
Since then, I've been crossing ghosts over, but have found that once they're crossed over, they aren't always reincarnated. Some come back as spirits. I crossed Danny over, but he still comes to visit me. My abilities keep getting stronger through practice and I often set aside time just to meditate, visit the graveyard, etc. Whatever it takes. When I visited the Akashic Records I read that I had always been meant to resolve ghosts' unfinished business. I'm so grateful for this gift and the chance to make a difference!

Sweet Ghost Dog
By: FoxyPheonix
I'm not quite sure if this took place in Alaska or not, actually, but this is a story that my Grampa told me. (And no, it's not fake. He said it actually happened to him.) One day, quite early in the morning, my Grampa woke to the sound of a dog barking. When he opened his eyes, and looked around, he saw a ghostly looking lab (I believe he said it was) sitting by his bed, still barking at him.
He told the dog to go home, and he went to bed, the dog disappearing. He obviously wasn't affected with the fact it was a ghost but... Eh.
A week went by, and the dog kept appearing, barking at him. Every now and then, Grampa would wake up to the dog gone, but it was still barking.
After a while, he decided to go to my Grammy, and asked her what he should do. I guess my Grammy is (or was) someone who could see, and talk to ghosts and such on a regular basis. Well, after he asked her, she told him next time he saw the doggy, to ask it what was the matter.
And so, the next morning, my Grampa woke to the dog barking again. He followed my Grammy's advice, sitting up and looking at the dog. He then asked it "What's the matter little fella?" The dog then responded - like, actually talked - telling his story of why he was there.
The little guy was looking for help. When he was alive he had a master and best friend who was a young girl. He loved to play with her, and one of the games he played was to hide her toys. He had recently hidden one of her favorite toy dolls in some woods near by, and saw that the little girl was upset because she couldn't find it anywhere.
He was going to go back and get it, when he was run over by a truck, and killed. So, he asked if my Grampa could go and get the doll, and return it for him. My Grampa accepted, and the dog said that he had hid it under a maple tree.
That day, my Grampa went into those woods, and just as the ghost hound said, right under a maple tree - the only one in miles in those woods - was a little toy doll. Grampa picked it up, and went back to return it to the girl.
After he had done so, the next day, Grampa woke up to the ghost dog again, only he wasn't barking this time. Grampa told the dog that he had done what was asked, and returned the doll to the little girl.
The dog thanked him, and disappeared, and was never seen again after that day.
I think the story is very sweet, and so is that nice dog. I've told many of my friends it, and seeing as my Grampa is disabled and can't tell it himself, I'd share it all with you on here.
It just goes to show that not all ghosts are bad. Sometimes you just need to ask them what's up, so you can help them move on.

VIRGIN MARY IMAGE SHATTERED
By: Unknown
Windows that thousands of visitors believed bore the image of the Virgin Mary were discovered broken recently. The three top panes that showed what appeared to be the Virgin Mary’s veiled head were destroyed, with just shards of glass remaining in the window frames. The damage was discovered when a ministry worker arrived the next morning. The image first appeared a week before Christmas in 1996. Hundreds of thousands of people have since visited the church to worship and take pictures. The image stretched 60 feet high and twenty feet across on nine bronze colored glass panels. The image was evocative of a stained glass portrait of Mary. Shades of purple, blue, yellow, and green washed across the mirrored surface and swirled into a robe-draped figure with downcast head. Unfortunately however, the upper panels of the glass image were destroyed by an 18 year old kid for no particular reason other than to be mean. The vandal received a jail sentence of 10 days and ordered to pay the ministry $1200 for the damage. “He took something that was irreplaceable to the community,” prosecutor Doug Ellis told the kid. The jail stay will be followed by two years of probation.

IMAGE OF MAN CLINGING TO TREE!
By: Unknown
I took this picture at a small cemetery in Northern NY state. It is a small cemetery for local people, and one for POW's that died at Camp Drum in WW2. in-between the cemeteries, which are right next to each other was a strong feeling of fear and that something bad would happen to you if you went into the POW cemetery. I took these pics when I was standing in-between. The first I took over my shoulder when I felt something was there. I told it I was not going to look at it but to please show up if it liked. The second was taken of the other cemetery, and I cropped it to show something standing next to the tree. I lost the original when I cropped it though. I am not sure what it is, but it looks to me like someone standing there.

Spirit of the coin
By: Bessie
If you guys havnt heard of the game spirit f the glass or spirit of the coin, it is very similar to the Ouija bord except it is played in a different style and a different way... Spirit of the coin. This I played with my sis, an her other 3 friends. You get a clean board, you write the letters A-Z on the top, below you write yes or no and you put the coin in the midle where no one should touch it. light a candle anywhere. Thats how we played it. We probably even did the set up wrong coz we never played and did it but we never knew that just TRYING it would be a risk thing to do..... So now everyone sits in A circle around the board. We closed the windows, doors and lights in our room , everything for no distraction.... WE were suppose to recite 3 hail marys, 3 our father and 3 glory be... and say "spirit of the coin, are you in?", This is how we played it, we recited the prayers. Then we asked for my grandad too be with us... before the game was on, i had unusual goosebumbs on my left side since no one sat next to me on my left. Like i told you, there was no air in our room but cold sharp air kept passing on my left side as if something o SOMEONE was trying to tease me by passing back and fort.... Later, everyone noticed i was shivering like crazy on my left, nicky looked at my left side and got stiff. I didnt bother looking @ my left, i just slowly closed my eyes coz someting was coming toward my face. I whispered a prayer... Everyone joined with me. I didnt feel the cold anymore. so i stoped. As we all opened our eyes, we saw the coin was flipped. it was standing on its edge. Everyone panicked. obviously no one did it... As we prayed more with our eyes OPEN this time, it got more wierd. The flame on the candle started to move around like crazy as if something was running around it. As it moved, everyone started to move away from the board. The light of the candle died by itself. We heard a voice that laughed like a bad force from somewhere.... everyone started to panic including me. The light turned on. "oh my god!" evryone was screaming. We didnt even know who turned the light on. When i asked nicky, " nicky, what did you see that sat next to me? That thing played on me! on us!" nicky said: "It was your grandad @ first but then it tranformed into something else." "What?" "A Demon" When you play these games, please understand that if your contacting a spirit, a loved one, when ur trying to communicate with a spirit, any bad force that will pass by, it will stop, visit and come to you instead. sounds hard to understand but thats what happened. Either we played around or took it seriously, it didnt matter. It was a dangerous game. It is a dangerous game. One of us couldve been possessed. Even though none of us believed, that event didnt want us to attempt that again....

Tree growing through the hearse?
By: Steve"I am attaching another pic with this email which I call the tree shot. This picture reveals the tree in the background that seems to be growing through the car! The closest tree on passenger side is some 30-35 feet away so it is not a reflection. After I saw this pic I tried to replicate it but it wouldn't work. It was pointed out to me that the face of an old black man can be seen in the upper left hand corner of the window as well. The hearse came from a black owned mortuary.

Black spinning creature!
By: David
"I took these two photos with my digital camera a few days ago. This black ghost "thing" was spinning in circles in my backyard. After taking the two pictures, it disappeared in a sort of "poof" with a whining noise (kind of like a whimpering dog). It really creeped me out and I've had trouble sleeping since! I thought you would like to see the photos. I've been constantly looking out my window to see if it's returned- I hope it doesn't. Could this be a shadow person or a Banshee? I think it didn't like the sunlight, it seemed to be in some kind of a panic that it couldn't get away from. I sincerely hope it was just an optical illusion of some sort. As mentioned before- it really scared me!"

High School Haunting
By: metalhed16
I grew up in Calgary Alberta, Canada. I'm sure you all know that by now. When I was in high school, I went to one of the older ones in the downtown area of the city. I didn't really notice anything until my senior year, in my first semester. Yes I did, on occasion experience things in past years going to that school, but nothing like this particular incident.
Let's start from the beginning, my first year in high school. I often heard stories from the older kids about how the school was haunted. Every time I heard a story it would give me a jolt, and I would be scared to venture into the hallways alone.
Tenth grade, I was asked to go down to the janitor's office, which was located in the basement, to get paper towel for our lab we were doing. So I took the long walk to the basement. When I reached the stairs I heard a metallic sound from below, like a large wrench or pipe hitting the floor. I figured it was one of the janitors so I continued down the steps. I got to the bottom and looked down the hall. There was no one to be seen. I walked to the end where the office was located and peeked inside, no one there. I went back down the hall to the big room where the cleaning supplies were kept. No one there. Then I went to the last room in the basement which lead to the boiler room. No one there...
Of course at this point I began to feel uncomfortable, so I ran as fast as I could up the stairs, and out the big metal doors, into the main hallway of the school. I figured I would check the main office and see if the secretary could page them for me. I got to the office and noticed that the janitors were both in the staff room.
The staff room was through the office and to the right, so it was clearly visible to anyone who visited the office.
My second experience happened in my second year, in the eleventh grade. I was on the football team, and we had just returned from a game at another school. It was me and 2 other guys (Team captains) that stayed behind to clean up the mess on the locker room floor and showers. Well this particular night, it was just me. The other two were off to see the Stamps game. So as I was cleaning up the floor I heard what sounded like shoes scuffling on the floor, about two rows behind me. I looked around the corner and noticed nobody was there so I continued on with my cleaning. The scuffling sound continued on the entire time I was cleaning. I didn't feel threatened so I didn't make a big deal about it.
My third experience was in my senior year, and this one is the most memorable one of them all. It was February, and we had just gotten a huge dumping of snow that day. It was unusual, because Calgary isn't the type of place to get that much snow. Luckily our school was the one that decided not to close that day. Which was awesome because there was about 6 feet of snow and it was -35 C (-31 F). Plus I drove an '86 Mustang, and last I checked those don't go so good in that kind of weather. I decided to take city transit and I was still over an hour late.
I got into the school and went to my class. Everyone looked pissed off. Which was understandable.
Before I get to the ghost part of this, let me mention that every single class that day... We watched a movie. Seriously, if it was that important that we go to school on a snow day, let's learn something. We were the only high school that had to go that day.
Okay I'm done ranting. I decided to leave midway through class to go to the vending machines and chill out in the cafeteria. After sitting for a while, I thought back to a few years ago when I was in the basement. I figured this was a good time to go see what was going on down there since no one was out and about.
I got up and went through the big doors and down the stairs. I crept down the hall and peered into the office to make sure the janitor wasn't there. When I turned around to head to the boiler room, the lights went out, and the emergency lights came on. An emergency message came on over the PA that said, "Attention staff, students, and visitors. Please remain calm. There has been a problem with the power in the building. Please stay where you are until the power is turned back on..."
I stood still, almost too scared to move, because I knew there was a ghost down there, and It didn't help that the power went out. I finally decided to move. I took a few steps forward and I heard the office door behind me creak, and slowly latch closed. I stopped again, terrified. In this hallway there were lockers along both walls. Since there were more students in the school, we had to resort to "overflow lockers..." A lot of these vacant lockers were left open.
One by one the locker doors started slamming shut. It wasn't in order, there would be a door slamming shut right beside me, the next at the completely opposite end of the hall, and so on and so forth. I booked it straight for the stairs, and as I was running up the stairs I heard the same metallic sound I heard a few years back, followed by a large bang. I don't know what the bang came from, all I know is that it made me run twice as fast.
When I got to the top of the stairs and out into the main hallway, I sat at a table to catch my breath. I looked down and realized that I had pissed myself. This was great! It was senior year, I was captain of the football team, and I pissed my pants. I ran to the locker room before anyone saw me and changed into my sweat pants, then went to the bus stop to go home.
I don't know what it was, and I hated how it decided to mess with me while the power was out.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story and I hope you liked it. Please feel free to read my other stories, leave a comment, or email me if you have any questions. Also check out my You Tube channel! All of the information is on my profile, so check it out and I hope to hear from you soon!

Hunted Orphanage (Gettysburg)
By: Brittany Graffius
Hi my name is Brittany Graffius and i went in to gettysburg last year and we
went to the hunted orphanage last year.
I dont know if you were ever there but there was a mean lady that took over
after the girl who ownd it before left.
And she was very mean and she would tie them up in the basement and when we were
there i felt a cold chill and i did
not get my pic tookn but i think there was a ghost and later that night we went
to the battle fileds and when we were there

BACHELOR'S GROVE CEMETERY!
By: Traci
"This photo was taken in the late afternoon of Saturday November 25th, when the Central Illinois Ghost Investigators took a trip to the famous Bachelor's Grove Cemetery in Chicago Illinois. As usual, we saw nothing with the naked eye. But we feel that this picture has too much detail to be just an illusion. We just wish that we could have been a little closer to her when the photo was taken."

Stalking Ghost
By: Diyanuh
I'm not that new to the web site but I have something also to share with all of you. I have to admit I think I saw a ghost once I'm not sure but I have heard things which are not explainable. I'm 14 now and I started experiencing things when I was about 9 or 10 years old.
I think it all started one night when I just couldn't get to sleep so I just laid in bed thinking about nothing, for some reason I turned my head to see like a little girl curled up into like a ball leaning to the wall. I FREAKED! I quickly closed my eyes, turned the other way, and put the blankets over my head. I slowly started to get sleepy and I never talked about it again.
The next time I was in the bathroom washing my feet, then when I turned up and there was like someone looking though the window. I was so scared that I ran out and slipped because my feet were still wet. I told my mom but like all other parents she didn't believe me. I forgot about it too, until the next time it happened when it did I was using the bathroom which made it even more embarrassing. I ran out and told my dad this time, he did believe me. He got his flash light and I followed him to the back of the house. When we got there, there was no one there, or any foot prints. So I don't know if it was some pervert who covered his footprints with dirt or if it was a ghost.
Well after that I moved, the next time this happened, I went to my grandmas house for like 3 hours, I forgot why though. Well when we came back we heard like this whirring sound coming from the kitchen. My dad went in first and it was the blender that was on. We quickly turned it off and checked if it was hot because if it was, then one of us must have left it on, but it wasn't and no one was home except my dog but he can barely reach the chair.
The next time my mom was trying to open the door of the bathroom when the door forcibly shut from the inside which freaked her out but we excused it as the wind even though it couldn't be stronger than my mom. Well that was then and was 13 when this happened, I went to stay at my grandmas house even though I hate her but my mom was in mexico right now. At 3 in the morning I was awake because I couldn't get to sleep when suddenly I heard foot steps in the kitchen not regular ones. But like someone with high heels and like always I freaked, and went to sleep.
The next thing that happened was about 2 months ago when at like 2 in the morning I went to the bathroom while I was in there I heard foot steps in the kitchen but when I got there there was no one there.
The next thing is when I was laying on my bed when I felt like someone rub their fingers on my back which creeped the hell out of me.
Well this is the last one and this happened like a week ago because I'm 14 now, I was at my aunts house when I was closing the bedroom door when like out of nowhere the door like pushed it self closed. I don't know what's going on but this follows me everywhere I go.
So if someone can please help me with this because I don't know if I did something to make it follow me but its freaking me out, thanks.

Live Death Premonition
By: mpgb216
The story started one early morning during the time of Ramadan in (September 24, 2007). I woke up because of continuous knocking somewhere in my flat. I had the feeling it was not from a living one because when the entity felt that I woke up, the "knocking" stopped. I knew too that it was kind of premonition so I called everyone and told them to check on everybody. I checked my Godmother too (already in her late '90's and sick) from my cousin who is in the U.S. by email. Everything seem alright, no report of anybody seriously sick.
I have this thing about bathroom door. I don't usually close my bathroom door in the night because it usually opens by itself and I get surprised by the "click" sound so I leave it open only. One morning, 2 days (September 26, 2007) after the knocking incident, around 0430H, my alarm rung so the first thing I do is go to bathroom. I didn't switch on the light because that's my house and I live alone so I know the way and anyway, it's just a studio flat.
When I reached the bathroom, I saw an entity, a shadow boy (black) sat on the floor of the bathroom facing me but I didn't see the face. Of course anyone who sees something like that, wouldn't be able to get in at once. I did not get scared but surprised so what I did, I switched on the light then went back to bathroom and the boy was gone. Probably, if that boy is compared to the living, he could have been around 9-11 years old.
Again, I sent text to everyone and asked to check everybody around especially the children and explained what happened. I also sent same to my Darling here in the U.A.E. And some friends. After 5 days (October 1, 2007), my Darling called me up around 2300H and was crying, he said that he had to take a flight to his home country, his nephew is in coma. He explained to me that his nephew was run down by a speeding motorcycle which came from the wrong opposite direction and his nephew was thrown about 6 meters away and broke his skull.
Before I went back to sleep, I tried talking to my Darling nephew using my thoughts asking the boy to hang on, his family loves him. Suddenly, the hanky which was on the right side of my head (a blessed hanky) was pulled away. I knew the boy was around and I had the feeling that he won't make it. So I prayed to God to take care of him. I didn't phone my darling about that but I knew he had to go. Around 0530H the following morning (October 2,2007), my Darling called again and he was crying heavily, he said his nephew is gone so that was the right time I told him what happened to me the night before. I was crying too because I felt the boy's presence before he left and so sorry for him that he didn't get the chance to fulfill his dreams to be rich one day.
When my darling came back (after 3 weeks from his home country), he showed me the photo of his late nephew and told me some stories, we were both crying. My darling said that his nephew started working at the age of 6 in his grandfather's (my darling's father) Store and whatever allowance he got, he saved it and bought stock shares. The nephew was 11 years old only when he passed away. The entity's built/profile that I saw and the photo of the nephew were the same.
My question is, how come the nephew chose me to see him? He could have chosen the members of his own family for his death premonition. My experience on other death premonitions are usually by scents of candle, perfumes.
Thanks to all for reading.

The holbrooke hotel and owl tavern.
By: Paul Dale Roberts
This was a stealth reconnaissance excursion for HPI (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations International). I was informed by email from an unknown source to check out The Holbrooke Hotel and The Owl Tavern in Grass Valley. I ran it by the President of HPI, Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe. The stories that are being told by people who frequent these establishments, is that both places are haunted. Shan gives me the green light to check it out and that is what I plan to do. But, let me do some researching first and see what I can dig up. This is what I found:
Goldminers dream of striking it rich and boom towns are popping up all over the place. One of those places is Grass Valley. Stephen and Clara Smith were one of the first to invest into the boom town called Grass Valley and built The Golden Gate Saloon. This is known as the oldest, continuously operated saloon west of the Mississippi River. Then in 1862 one of their relatives Charles Smith did some additional building around the saloon and it became the Exchange Hotel, this was a place that you could exchange your gold. Finally in 1879, the hotel was purchased by Ellen and Daniel Holbrooke and a new name was given to the hotel, it became the Holbrooke Hotel. Many famous guests came to this hotel, such as Ulysses S. Grant, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, James Garfield, prize fighters 'Gentleman Jim' Corbett and Bob Fitzsimmons. Famous authors stopped by like Mark Twain and Bret Harte. Entertainers stayed the night like Lola Montez, Lotta Crabtree and Emma Nevada. Even bad guys like Black Bart have frequented this prestige establishment. The Holbrooke Hotel is a California State Landmark and if you ever visit this hotel, you will understand why.
My research on The Owl Tavern is that it consists of two structures built in 1857 and 1862. The original saloon opened in 1813 as The Bank Exchange Saloon. I will discuss more about this bar as you read on.
Today is March 15, 2008, Saturday and it was time to round up my posse. I don't like ghosthunting by myself. I brought along ghosthunters-in-training Nancy Towne who has her own online store called Annabelle's at: stores.ebay.com/Anabelles - Sparky Parker and Angel Kesti. Equipment being used are digital cameras, electronic audio voice recorders, Listen Up sound enhancers.
Nancy rode with me up to Grass Valley and we met up with Angel on the freeway headed to Grass Valley, I was wondering who was blowing their horn at me like a madman, I casually look over and it's Angel waving. Sparky was already waiting for us at the hotel and she brought her cute Chihuahua. The first employee we met was Kelly Sheehan who works the Front Desk. She is a Guest Service Representative. She greets everyone with a smile. She is a new employee, so she really hasn't experienced anything yet. Kelly has definitely heard the stories though. We get a grand tour of the hotel, it's quite accomodating for many guests. We meet Renee Smith - housekeeper and she tells me how she will never forget on how she heard the exit door rattling continuously for a long period of time. The exit door is next to Room 9, which is reputed to be very haunted. She allows my investigators and I, to visit the various rooms that were frequented by the famous people who stayed at this hotel. There is a big picture on one wall and the blazing words that Mark Twain slept on this bed! The ambiance of history resonates throughout this hotel. Each room is completely different from any other room. There is the touch of the Old West and Victorian, you feel like you have walked into the past. The decor is exquisite and I can see why ghosts haunt this hotel. Why would anyone want to leave paradise?
We are told that in Room #1, is where a couple on their honeymoon heard the clanging sounds of chains and bangings on the wall. The honeymooner woman placed her hand on the wall and an unseen force pushed her hand to the wall not letting it go for a few good minutes, which really spooked her. In the kitchen, an employee by the name of Denise heard her name called by a unseen woman and later by an unseen man. Kelley Garitty, the chef once was walking downstairs and she was physically pushed from behind, she could feel two hands on her back. She felt they were men's hands. The push made her fall into the employee in front of her. She has seen an apparition of a woman in a flower dress, 1800s style clothing with a high neck standing over the mixer like she was looking at something. Kelley watched the apparition for about 2 minutes and then it vanished. Then the second time around, she saw the same apparition standing in the corner of the kitchen looking towards the corner and it appeared that the apparition of this woman knew that Kelley was watching her, showing intelligence.
Kelley tells me that she came across a little girl apparition that she feels has the name of Elizabeth. When she saw the little girl, a bunch of cans flew off the shelves. Kelley has worked here for awhile, so she has many stories and her last story was that she once came across a weird mist near the sink by the kitchen. There was no reason for the mist to be there, there was no hot running water or anything else that could cause the mist. Finally the mist evaporated as fast as it came.
One thing about the Holbrooke Hotel, you don't have to stay in one of their rooms to experience the paranormal, the women's bathroom is haunted downstairs and the Iron Room (storage room that once was a bar) is haunted. Patrons have heard the door slam in the women's bathroom for no apparent reason. Patrons have seen shadows underneath the doorway in the woman's bathroom and The Iron Room.
As I was getting down the stories of this hotel, the General Manager shows up. His name is Sean Gilleran. He has been at this establishment for one year. Sean has a superb personality and the hospitality he shows my investigators and I, are exceptional. If you ever visit the Holbrooke Hotel, you will feel like you know Sean and the other employees for a lifetime. I instantly bonded with Sean. Sean personally takes us to various rooms of the hotel and shows us the backyard part of the hotel, where there is another structure with more gorgeous rooms!
Kelly Sheehan and Sean Gilleran tell me that the legend is that one of the managers got into trouble at this hotel and when he passed on, he came back to haunt this hotel. They have heard stories from the patrons that children have been heard playing in the hotel, which sounds to me to be a residual haunting activity. TVs have been known to go off and then go on by themselves in various rooms of the hotel. The deceased manager that may haunt this hotel, is known as Edgar the Ghost. I learn that the Iron Room was once a speakeasy and that Room 14 and 15 were once used as a strongbox, a place to count gambling money.
The bar of this hotel was so popular during Prohibition Days, it actually remained open. Sean gives me a history lesson about a small town up the road called 'Rough N' Ready', named after Teddy Roosevelt. Rough N' Ready had some political problems during Prohibition and established itself as it's own country for a period of one month.
While my investigators were wandering all over the hotel trying to pick up EVPs and get some photographic evidence, they came to the pantry and a cord hanging from the wall started moving back and forth on it's own. The back part of the hotel is called the Purcell House and you must walk through the garden to reach this section of the hotel. The Purcell House has rooms that are named after famous mines, like Sixteen to One, Dutch Flat, Pennsylvania, El Dorado and Del Oro. As I wander around to various rooms, I started thinking how it would be like to stay overnight on a weekend and listen to the live bands that appear in their bar area. I can just imagine the fun evening festivities!
As we closed up this investigation, I had some hungry investigators, so we dined at the Holbrooke Hotel Restaurant. A restaurant that will tease and tantalize your tastebuds with delicacies such as: Prawn Cocktail, Grilled Filet Mignon, Porter Braised Pot Roast, Rigatoni, Seafood Cioppino, Pan Seared Salmon, Pan Seared Halibut, Grilled Swordfish, Steamed Clams, Fried Calamari, Seared Ahi, Roasted Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Seafood Cioppino, New York Steak and a whole lot more!!! Okay, looking at the menu, I was starving. Then I saw the waiter Joshua Michael Turzak bring out a homemade BLT sandwich with french fries. The crispy bacon smelled great, this is what I wanted to be chased down with some coffee and a Coke. My investigators all ordered tantalizing meals and we ate vigorously, but yet savoring every scrumptious morsel of our lunch. We were already to pay the bill only to learn from our courteous waiter Joshua that it was on the house. Sean took care of our lunch! Wow! What a guy! I would say that Sean is one of the greatest hotel managers West of the Mississippi! Thank you Sean! Joshua was so helpful and polite, I made sure he received a nice tip from all of us! Before we left the restaurant, Sean explains that he has never witnessed anything, but that the children who visit this hotel have seen a little girl phantom and will run to their parents exclaiming they have just seen a ghost!
As we were leaving this historical hotel, I can understand why patrons keep coming back, because of the Old West ambiance, the great hospitality, the friendliness of the hotel staff, the great social atmosphere and the feeling of being home, but yet away from home. What a wonderful place! Yes! I will be back!
As we were walking down the street, it was now time to visit The Owl Tavern, another old west establishment and I met the colorful assistant manager Gary L. McDonough aka Grey Dog! His laughter was contagious and he was delighted to show me around his haunted bar. He has been working here for 6 and 1/2 years. He tells me about George the Ghost. How funny, there is Edgar the Ghost at the Holbrooke Hotel and at The Owl Tavern there is George the Ghost. I only wonder if Edgar and George knew each other when they were both living? In 1847 this bar opened for the goldminers. It was open 24/7. In the back area is where the goldminers played poker. George one day was caught cheating at poker and somebody shot poor ol' George down. George never left this bar and still haunts this bar. Booth #7 is George's booth. I met with two employees Trevor Nuttall - Shus Chef and he tells me how he has heard the bar doors swing back and forth in a constant pattern, or how one day a bowl flew off the shelf and jetted into the next room. When the bowl flew off, he said to himself..."I'm out of here!" and left for the night. Bobby McKnight, Chef/Owner has seen with his peripheal vision shadows moving about. His uncle co-owner Michael McKnight has also heard the bar doors swing back and forth on their own accord. One night Mike was tapping his fingers on each table and behind him, he heard the finger tapping of an unseen entity which gave him the willies.
The bar is very elegant. The bar was built from Austrian cherrywood from the 1800s. This cherrywood traveled around Cape Horn to get here. There are pressed decorated tin walls around the bar area. The old time menu shows lobster tails for 99 cents, minced ham/Spanish omelette for 50 cents, pie ala mode 15 cents, tenderloin steak for a whopping $1.75. He also showed me the notorious ladie's entrance, where ladies would sneak in to visit the gentlemen of the bar. This bar is located at 134 Mill Street, just a block and a half away from the Holbrooke Hotel!

While in Grass Valley, my ghosthunting never ends, I received a call from New York from Alexis Farmer aka Allie in New York. She lives in an apartment that is 107 years old. She believes while visiting her mother that owns a home on sacred burial ground, that an entity has followed her to her apartment. She has seen red eyes in the dark. She has scratches on her chest when she awakens in the morning. People that visit her apartment, feel angry when they enter one of the rooms of her apartment. She feels that the entity that is inhabiting her apartment targets only women. She has placed holy water in each room, she has personally blessed this home, she has said prayers and nothing is working. She has placed crosses strategically around the house and later has found the crosses turned upside down. She tells me that she believes in God, but she is a Wiccan. She has witnessed an apparition of an old man in old fashioned clothes and when he appeared, she felt negative energy. One night, she heard a loud boom and something was thrown at her. Then later she heard a strange growling. She admits to once conducting a seance with friends and that all the candles went out on their own. Shannon and I, will be working on this case together to assist Alexis on this haunting activity in some apartment located in New York. It is time to put our Demonologist skills to some good use! Stay tuned.
Oh, one more thing, before I let you go. Shannon McCabe and I, went to Napa to listen to a boring 90 minute time share seminar, only to receive later after saying...no - 100 times over...ahh..what part of 'no' don't you understand? Well, you get the picture...we finally got our gift, 2 airlines tickets to New Orleans for October and 2 nights at a 5 star hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, again for October. Yep! Shan and I will be ghosthunting in New Orleans and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! Rock & Roll!

FINDINGS OF THE HOLBROOKE HOTEL AND THE OWL SALOON:
Some photographs taken of various areas of the hotel and the saloon show orb activity.
Nancy has an unusual photograph taken at the hotel, that shows a strange figure in the reflection of the mirror. This photograph needs to be analyzed further to determine, to see if it is substantial.
EVP evidence is pending.

Ghost or real?

It happened about 2 years ago. i was on my desk working on my homework. my brother went to play tennis and my mom was at the grocery store. i was only 11 and was left at home. so.... i was doing my homework. and then at my corner of my eye i saw something move. i might have seen my father's shoe move. first i thought it was just something i have mistaken. but then it was few minutes later. i was concentrating my work very hard, i heard something at the kitchen. something possibly fell. now i knew something was wrong. i felt very scared. i rested on my chair. then i felt something pull on my chair. that night i almost cried. i wanted my brother to come very early. later on i saw the room door creak and moved a bit. i thought my brother was joking. then few minutes later my brother really came. maybe it was something i saw wrong or a possible ghost trying to fool me.

Virginia City Nevada Motel Ghost Picture
By: Unknown
I took this image August of 2007 in a Virginia City, Nevada Motel.
My wife and I were looking at our images and came across this one that looked odd. The more I looked at it the more convinced I am I captured something. In addition to the shadow figure look at the smaller cropped image. It looks like a second spirit/ghosts face is present.
I lightened the cropped image a bit to highlight what I believe is a face. A couple of things of note on this image for you to consider;1) the shadow appears to be solid, hides the chair and does not follow the shape of the drapes and 2) the shadow is not present in the mirror to the right.

Haunted Antique Porcelain Dolls
By: David Slone
During my lifetime I have had several personal encounters with the paranormal, or supernatural as some people prefer to say. I shared this experience with several members of my family when I was about 12 revolved around a set of antique dolls. Although I was not the one who actually encountered theghost I was there while it was going on.
My grandmother found a set of antique dolls somewhere and she bought them and brought them to her house. The bodies of the dolls were made of porcelain and their dresses and hats were a combination of silk and feathers.
She put the dolls into a large walk-in closet at the top of the stairs. My older sister lived with our grandparents, her bedroom was just next to the walk-in closet. Right away she started having nightmares. She also told us that she heard an old woman humming and a creaking noise like a rocking chair while she was trying to go to sleep. She prayed and tried to ignore it until she finally fell asleep, but when she did she had nightmares.
Naturally, the adults did not believe her. They said that she had only imagined it and it was natural for a child to have nightmares sometimes. She continued to hear the old woman and to have nightmares. We were all starting to get worried about her and, of course, my other sisters and I believed her. It seems that adults are often closed minded to the possibility of such things.
I should say that none of us made any kind of connection between the dolls and what my sister was experiencing. I remember seeing my grandmother bring the dolls in, but I never paid much attention or thought much about them. It was only later that a connection was discovered.
My grandmother attended a Pentecostal church. She had some people from the church get together during a service to pray for my older sister to try to stop her nightmares.
After the prayer one of the ministers came up to my grandmother and asked her if she had brought anything different into the house. He said that he felt like there was a spirit that was causing the problems. Naturally, she thought of the antique dolls and decided to remove them from her house.
To this day I do not know what she did with the dolls, but I do know that as soon as they were gone my sister stopped hearing the old woman and having the bad dreams.

I Saw my Mom Who Recently Died
By: Candie
My mother died about a year and a half ago. Last month I was looking at a picture of her before I went to sleep, I held on to the picture as I slept. Before I fell asleep I started to cry, and it got so bad I started to violently shake, my whole body wracked with sobs until a warm voice filled my ears, it said:
"Honey? Baby Doll, why are you cryin' sweetie?" It was my mothers voice.
"Mommy?" I said looking up at her, and my whole room looked different:
It was now early morning and the sun shined through my window, it landed at my mom's feet, my mom was in a white gown and her hair was let down her brown eyes where soft and filled with concern.
After registering what I saw I got up off the bed and ran into my mother's arms, and cried.
"Shh baby, shh, I don't want you to be sad Baby Doll, I'm okay. It hurts me to see you down here crying like this. Shh baby shh..."
I stood there in her arms now crying tears of joy that my mom was there with me.
"I don't know how to not be sad Mama. I miss you a lot..." I sniffled into her shoulder.
"You do honey, you know how to be happy, just be my little Hollywood..."
I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, my mom was gone, it was still nighttime, the time was the same as it was before I saw my mom, again I cried again, but I felt her presence in my room. I ran upstairs and I told my dad what I just saw.

An Illinois Haunting
By: Christine
My story starts in 1983, the year I was born in Des Plaines, Illinois. My parents and my older brother had previously lived in a two-flat, but with a new baby, they decided they needed more space. House hunting was difficult for them, because money was tight, and they always seemed to get outbid on the property they wanted. When they pulled up to the house right off of the Wolf Rd. Circle, they thought it was too good to be true. It was a brick ranch, with wood floors, and all of the space our young family would need. There were schools within walking distance and a couple of parks too, they thought there was no way we would be able to place a successful bid on this one without a fight. It seems the property had been on the market for 7 years and no one had stayed there very long. My parents were ecstatic, and immediately placed a bid, and bought the house.
Everything was pretty normal, and no one seemed to notice anything odd, little noises were just the foundation settling, right? The day I was christened, my parents invited everyone over for a party, and to see the new house. We had moved in a month or two before so this was the first opportunity for the family to check it out. My aunt walked up the steps, and as soon as she set one foot in our entry way, not even saying hello, looked at my mother and said, "I will not go in your basement, and will not go in your attic..." My mom thought it was strange but just brushed it off.
While we were living in the house, things seemed to escalate. The kitchen was always about 20 degrees colder than the rest of the house, even on the hottest summer days. There were constant footsteps down the hallways that were noticeable because of the wood floors.
One day my Godmother and my mom were hanging out in the house and watching me. They heard the footsteps coming down the hallway, and me being a one year old heard them too. You could follow where they were coming from, and as soon as they approached where the doorway was I started screaming and crying at the top of my lungs. Needless to say, they picked me up and ran out of the house as quickly as they could. We didn't go back until my dad was home from work. Another weird thing that occurred regularly was that we had storm windows in the basement that had shutters on the basement walls that were locked from the inside. There was no wind that would come from the window wells, but they would bang at random times.
Everyone in my immediate family was injured while living in the house. My brother, who was 8-9 at the time was playing on our living room floor, when out of nowhere my mom hears a scream. She walks in to find the fireplace mantle on top of him. He of course couldn't have pryed it off the wall, and it was about 15 feet away from the fireplace. He said it flew off the wall onto him. My dad was hanging up artwork in a hallway one day, and said the hammer flew back and hit him above the eye. He had to go to the hospital and still has 2 scars above his eye from where the sharp points on the opposite end of the hammer hit him. My mom also said an unseen force pushed her off the deck and she broke her wrist.
I was the only one to see the ghost, but I cannot recall anything, even though this is my very first childhood memory. I was about 3 at the time and my dad asked me to get him a pop from the fridge. I remember mundane details like the socks he was wearing and my point-of-view while walking down the hallway. I reached the fridge, grabbed a pop, and turned around to head back to the other room. When I did, I screamed and that's all I remember. My parents found me lying on the kitchen floor, and when they woke me I didn't remember what happened. I'm 25 years old now, and I try to remember, but I still can't. I've thought about going to a hypnotist to bring the memory back, but I'm too afraid.
My parents had been in the house a while now, and got friendly with the neighbors. After a while they started asking about the house and our experiences with it. They then mentioned that they knew the house wasn't "right". It had been vacant for a long time, and whenever anyone moved in, they wouldn't last too long. They told my parents that an older couple had lived there and the husband was a salesman that would travel frequently. His wife, Pearl, had some medical ailment and was confined to a wheelchair. One time when the husband went out of town, Pearl died in the kitchen and no one knew until the husband came home a week or two later. The husband must have known that even after death, Pearl stayed in the house because even though he moved out, he paid for the house to be kept up and the heating and air conditioning to run for the 7 years it was vacant.
My mom went to a psychic around this time with some girlfriends, and they all had a reading. After she was done giving my mom a reading about life children, job, future, etc. She said, "I know you didn't come here to find out about this, you really want to know who is in your house..." Finally, someone offered to help. She told my mom to go back into the house and tell Pearl that she was welcome to stay if she would leave us alone, but if she wanted to cause trouble she would have to leave. After that my mom had the house blessed, and nothing happened again. We lived there another 2 years before we moved.
I live in a suburb about 40 minutes away now, but every time I pass that house I always wonder if she is still there.

Haunted military dorm room.....
By: GhostBuster_SALLY
Hello everyone! I've got a story I would like to share with you all. Let me start off by saying these things happened within a 3 month period ever since I started my 6 month tour in Afghanistan. Ok some strange things have happened to me in this building I am staying in over here in Afghanistan. First off... Well we got are rooms. Its a building with 7 rooms and a bathroom with three showers. Up to 4 people can fit nicely into 1 room. 8 people if you do the whole bunk bed thing...uh no thanks. Ok so we got our rooms... big deal. Now I will begin the story.
I get stuck in a room along with 3 of my wingmen. Well there jobs are not in the close by area so 2 of my buddies got moved out to another FOB. That leaves me and Josh. Ok... the first thing kinda ood that happened. Me and Josh are going to go eat at the other FOB. We both leave... we TURN OFF the light and lock the door. I pull the door to make sure the door is locked. We get back home. Door is locked ok... we get inside... the light is ON...ok. Big deal right? Could have been a old roomate that hadnt turned in their key yet. So I go confirm it. I do some asking around. No one had been in the room while we were gone. Well Josh moves out later...
So I'm left with the room all to myself... YAY loud music time! grin2.gif
Well I can't sleep. I ALWAYS sleep with out a night light..but I get this strange feeling like something is watching me... and it does not go away... So I sleep with the light on. I also here noises around the room in places I can't see. Like tapping noises coming from the other areas of the room were my buddies used to be.
No big deal... maybe the building is adjusting? But still... can't sleep. Well I had a dream one night that I was being chased by a shadow being...ok.
So towards the end of Febuary... I get word from a TSgt I work with that I am going to have to move into another room because some a group of 4 British Troops are going to need a room together. Well I can't stay in a room by myself and I'm a low rank so. I MOVE!!
I move into a room with 3 other friends I made over here. "The room is right next door to my first room"... THIS IS IMPORTANT INFO... and the walls are not very sound proof.
Well ... heres were the big things start happening. One day me and my buddy Jose are in my part of the room. He is using the computer and I am playing Smash bros Brawl (love that game). Well there is a wooden piece of furniture that was in the room before they moved in. It has 3 Shelves. I am looking at it right now. grin2.gif
Well I had an empty bottle on the middle shelf... out of no were it falls off the self... ok big deal. People have been walking around and slamming doors through out the building... not to mention out new neighboors are kinda loud. So we don't think much of this. "Ha ha... oooh a ghost"
My friend Jose says jokingly. Well we go back to our games. About 1 minute or 2 later... a bag of chips on the TOP SHELF
falls on its side. Ok... its a FULL bag of ships. How often does a bag of chips fall over? It was sitting on the shelf FOR DAYS untouched! And it falls over. Now we are wondering more. "I guess we have a hungry spirit" I say. Me and Jose laugh.
Ok... What i am about to tell you now just happened today a few hours ago.
Jose is on the computer in his usual spot in my area of the room. He is sitting in a chair next to out walkway that separates our 4 living areas. We all section off our living areas with blankets that we hang with a strings across the room. Well I have my curtain opened and you can see the walkway and the room across from mine. The chair Jose is sitting in is right nest to the curtain which is open at the moment. Just trying to give a visual.. kinda hard to describe.

I am saying "other friend" because he wants to be un named.
OK... Jose is on the computer and I am watching PRISON BREAK on my TV. Our "Other Friend" is taking a nap in his area. Mark leaves to go to work and shuts the door. Well about 10 seconds after he leaves... (this is giving me chills and making my eyes watery just thinking about it)
about TEN SECONDS after Mark leaves I see a figure walk past my curtain from Jose's room towards the front door. But I only catch it at the last split second before it makes it behind my curtain. Jose tells me he saw it move right past him.
We can see the door from my room. Nothing walks to the door. Its as if it stopped behind the curtain. Both of us even see the curtain shift a little like someone brushed up against it. I am looking at Jose now... he is looking at the curatin "Who goes there..." Jose says in a funny accent. We both figure Its our "other friend" trying to mess with us. We like to freak each other out every once in awhile. A quick ReCap... Keep ion mind this all happened really fast.... Figure walks behind cutain and stops... me and Jose both see it... curtains shift... we here suffling movement from behind the curtain. I get up and OPEN the curtain.... me an Jose are expecting to see our "friend" .... nothing... no body!!
Now we are convinced that something is in the room. I tell Jose to check on "other freind" Jose quickly checks on our "other Friend".
He is sleeping still!!! And his bed squeaks ALOT so he couldnt have jumped in bed that fast without making noise.
Me and Jose are creeped out kinda but not that much since its just a wondering ghost or whatever it is.
Also Jose says it looked about over 5 feet tall and has big shouldera... human looking figure but all dark black. An above average build.
Well... later on now... our "other friend"
wakes up and we go to dinner. We tel him about the story. He is like wow then he shares with us that ever since "I" moved in with them he has strange dreams that red eyes are staring at him while he is sleeping. Like thay are right next to his bed... something looking at him. And he had one of those dreams while he was taking a nap. He feels like he is half awake when they occur and it creeps him out. sometimes he jumps awake and controls himself from yelling outloud. The he tells before I moved in with them... when I was living in the room ALONE next door he could hear noises like I was home. But it was after 9 am and I go to work before 8 am. "other friend" is the only one home at this time because he works night shift. So yeah... He says he thinks something is following me and it came in the room with me. Maybe its the spirit of a soldier that passed away during the "war on terrorism"?
well thanks for listening...
GHOST AT ROBBERY SCENE!
Ghost at Gettysburg
This picture was taken by Chris Payne of Woodbridge, New Jersey at the Gettysburg National Battlefield in 1988. The camera used was a simple 110 Instamatic with a flash around dusk. Next to Terri Payne and by the wheel of the cannon can clearly be seen a strange bluish white mist. No other picture on the roll displayed anything similar in configuration. Closer examination seems to indicate a face within the fog. It was not visible to the naked eye.

Scary House Number 13
By: Sarah
When I was in about grade 6, my family and I moved into a new home. I never liked that house since the first time I went in, but my parents insisted they were getting a great deal and we moved in. The house was also #13 on the block!
For the first year nothing too spectacular happened, although I could never get to sleep without my mother’s comfort, which was strange. The next year, when I was about 12 my mom had another baby. I used to have my room upstairs which, one of my little brothers and I slept in, in a bunk bed. One night I was sleeping on the top bunk, and my mom was putting my little brother to sleep on the lower bunk, as he was much younger than me and wanted her to put him to bed.
My mom and brother had both fallen asleep on the bottom bunk. But in the middle of the night I was awoken by the old antique rocking chair in the living room rocking. At first I thought it was just my step dad rocking my baby brother back to sleep, as that was normal when the baby would fuss in the night. But I then heard my step dad cough from my parents room beside mine. I also looked down and saw my mom and brother still on the bottom bunk. I was quite scared at this point.
After probably five minutes the rocking stop and there were three loud knocks on the wall. This absolutely terrified me and I had to climb down to the bottom bunk with my mom and sleep there. I asked if my step dad had rocked the baby last night and he said no, and he had also heard the rocking and the strange knocks on the wall.
Another strange thing happened a few years later when I was about 15. I had recently moved my bedroom into the basement, but had been terrified of sleeping down there. Also the lamp beside my bed would strangely burn out way faster than the light bulb normally should, so in order to turn out the light I would have to cross the room to the light switch and turn out the light, and I would run back to my bed and jump in as fast as I could, as I am really scared of the dark, and that room was just generally creepy.
Anyways, one night I was up until about 1:30 talking on the phone to a boy. As I hung up the phone I routinely walked across the room to the light switch, shut it off and ran and jumped back into bed. Before I shut my eyes I looked at my alarm clock to check the time as I had to be up early the next morning. To my surprise the LED numbers had changed into to capital letters spelling out the word NO. I was absolutely terrified! The letter remained there for about a minute and then switched back to the time. I ran upstairs and had to persuade my mom to come down to the basement to sleep with me, as I would never have been able to sleep down there alone that night. It was a really weird occurrence, which terrified me to no end.
Throughout the years we lived there many little strange happenings went on too. Everyone’s shoes would be neatly placed in pairs in the front closet and many times one shoe would go missing, and we would be unable to find it for months, only to find the missing shoe later in strange place. This happened several times. Also my mom collects angels, almost every single angel that would be brought to the house would end up with a broken right wing. This could be a coincidence but it’s still creepy! And it was definitely not done by any of my younger siblings as they would not be able to reach most of them, or not them down in any way.
Last year, once we moved out to a new home, my step dad decided to tell me about the two sightings he saw of the same man. One when he was walking down the hall during the night, the man walked right out in front of him and crossed his path, the second was when he walked up the stairs into the living he saw the same man standing and looking out the window. Thankfully he waited to tell me these as I am terrified of ghosts, and I had a hard time in that house without knowing of those sightings! Many other friends and family who stayed in the house also found the house unnerving to sleep in.
I am now almost 17 and am still terrified of that house but lucky for me we have moved haha! My mom and I still like to joke that the house was number 13 making it unlucky and scary haha. But I think that’s a coincidence, but still it’s spooky to add to all these occurrences! Sorry it’s so long, but there are multiple stories from that home!

World Trade Center Ghosts and Events from 9/11
By: Jerry E. Spivey
I started with my present job on February 14, 1973, the company was located at 1 Liberty Plaza -- the Twin Towers were just across the street and were still under construction. The firm moved into One World Trade Center in 1981 occupying the 56th thru the 59th floor. Almost from the very beginning of entering that building I felt something very eerie, back then I was working 9:00 to 5:00. At home during the night I was having nightmares about terrorist in black uniforms running rampant throughout the building with machine guns killing everyone that moved, and as usual, when they confronted me I was always cowering in the men's room. They would always find me but, before I’m shot and killed, I would wake up! These dreams were happening to me constantly, like a movie that keeps repeating itself. The department I work in has three shifts, it’s a 24 hour department in word processing. The third shift operators always complained that ghost sightings were quite common almost on a nightly basis. I would find that to be very true once I started the midnight shift years later. Much of Manhattan buildings were built on Indian burial ground, African burial ground, Dutch burial ground etc. I truly believe that the World Trade Center was built on some burial ground, the building was not land filled like the World Financial Center close by.
The first bombing happened on February 26, 1993. I was washing my face in the men's room when the explosion happened. Immediately I knew it was a bomb because of the acoustics of the men's room. I ran out into the corridors toward our department and announced that I heard explosions. The lights were going off and on until finally we were in total darkness for about three minutes. When the lights came back on, we saw billows of black smoke rapidly racing toward us. Within seconds we were engulfed with black smoke hardly able to see the person next to us. We ran for the stairways to exit the building. It took two hours to vacate the building back then. The parking attendants that I knew died that morning.
I was promoted to supervise the midnight shift years later and the amount of ghosts that I witnessed is too many to report in this article. However, I will write about a few that are very interesting. One night we hired a temp from a temping agency, this was her first night in the World Trade Center and she knew nothing about our famous ghosts. At about 3:00 A.M., she asked to go the ladies room. The corridors in the Trade Center were about a half block long in either direction and to get to the ladies room one would need to walk midway the corridor, turn left at the corridors intersection, and walk about half that corridor. When the temp began her journey to the ladies room she immediately noticed an old gentleman walking toward her at the far end of the corridor. It was common for attorneys, paralegals, or secretaries to work through the night so seeing someone at 3:00 A.M. is not unusual. However, when the temp entered the corridors' intersection and made a left turn, she noticed the same old man walking toward her in that direction! I heard a scream and ran to meet her. She was frozen with fear, trembling, and trying to speak. I tried to console her and ask what had happened. She finally calmed down when I explained to her that the World Trade Center is famous for its ghosts! The old gentleman she saw was a partner from the firm who died some years earlier. When her confidence came back, I took her to the firm's library and showed her a picture of the partner. Upon seeing his face she became hysterical and ask for a cab voucher to leave, she never came back!
Another event with a deceased firm's partner was when one deceased partner woke up two staff members at the same time occupying two different offices. Back then the night staff would find a cozy couch in one of the attorney’s office and would take a nap during their lunch break. The deceased partner somehow entered their dream and shouted at them, simultaneously, to "Get out!" Both girls woke up at the same time and vacated the offices. They ran into each other and discovered that the same partner at the same time reprimanded them while they were dreaming.
On September 11, 2001, at 5:00 A.M. I encountered four ghostly spirits. Staff members that were more clairvoyant would witness one or maybe two spirits nightly, its very unusual to witness four spirits in one night or in rapid formation. I must add that before arriving to work that evening I was having a spiritual warfare that was very unusual. The four spirits that I encountered on September 11th appeared from my left side first and in fast motion they walked to my right-hand side and disappeared. The supervisors station was far from the staff so no one witnessed the apparitions with me. When the ghostly spirits disappeared at my right side, I turned to my right-hand side and asked the spirit if it was my Guardian Angel, hoping that no one heard me. The next supervisor was to replace me at 8:30 A.M. As a custom, I would have completed my daily report to the next supervisor and leave. However, this morning I was unusually clumsy. I couldn’t get anything right and the succeeding supervisor was laughing at my awkwardness. Then at 8:45 A.M. we were hit hard. We were on the 59th floor when the first plane crashed into One World Trade Center. The force of the plane knocked me back toward the shelves and the staff and I waited for the intercom’s announcement from the building to report a bombing (or something), and to evacuate the building. But no one alerted us that we were hit by planes! Then, I began to visualize the building collapsing and in desperation I ran into the middle of the room and announce to the staff to immediately leave the building. I was somewhat hysterical. I envisioned the building collapsing on the same side the plane hit and told the staff members to follow me toward the middle stairway. My staff members were out of the building and far away when the building collapsed. However, I stayed in the building to help evacuate more staff members. Finally, upon checking the offices to ensure they were empty, I was prompted again to leave the building by my friendly spirits. Now, back in 1993 it took two hours to vacate the building and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t caught in the stairway when nature calls, so I entered the men's room (just in case). This time it only took one half hour to vacate the building because the terrorist hit the building before most workers could arrive (thank God)! Unfortunately, I saw the brave firemen and policemen that would lose their lives that morning. I further witnessed body parts in the plaza, unbeknownst to me the second plane hit while I was vacating the building. I was about five minutes out of the building when Two World Trade Center collapsed, blocking all exits from One Trade World Center. I always give God praise for the spirits I saw at 5:00 A.M. that morning, because they stayed with me and insured that my staff and I were safely out of the building. Only one person from our firm died that horrible morning. However, many of my friends from other firms did not make it out of the building.
Friends that live in Manhattan stated that they saw the first plane flying very low, but when it reached One World Trade Center, it moved up and hit around the 80th floor. News report stated that it was his intention to hit as low as possible to ensure the building collapsed. If he had maintained his position, many more lives would have been taken that day, including staff members and myself. We wonder why God saved so many yet others died?

Haunted Toilet?
By: Holly Hodgkinson
I always used to be interested in the unexplained and still do, my experience has been the best yet, i'll tell you it in full...
I'm at secondary school and i often get in to trouble for wearing make-up so i have to go and take it off inside this toilet. Inside this one toilet i get a sense of a strange presence like someones in there with me when they're not. The room is quite small and has about six toilet cubicles.
Me and my friend called Rebecca decided to go and investigate the toilet room, so we went inside and switched the light off and i called out, "If there is any spirit people in this room at the moment, please could you make a sign to show you are here with us?" A few seconds after the end toilet started to creak loudly, we switched the light back on and to our astonishment one of the taps was on! I could swear that when we went in firstly it wasn't, it was one of those taps where you have to turn it on not an automatic.
Another time when i was in there with a friend, i was holding the toilet door for her because it didn't lock, and in the corner of my eye i saw a big dark figure when i looked properly it had vanished. The same day i was looking in the mirror and something brushed passed my anckle only for a second and my friend was on the other side of the room washing her hands and there was no one else in the room, but it didn't scare me much.
I often go inside there with a few mates and switch the lights off and talk to the spirit, the first time everyone was behind me and i was looking at the end cubicle and there seemed to be a sort of mist there, but sort of like flashing and all of a sudden it flashed into my face, i turned round and screamed. The second time there was two other people with me we was in there a while and we were laughing at something but then we stopped because we heard a loud noise which went, w a ah.. it was a womens voice and it came from the other side of the room, maybe it thought we were laughing at it. A while later i heard two scratching sounds, the noises were not any of us and cannont be explained.
I am really interested in this, and i swear i did not make it up.

FUZZY APPARITION ON CAM!
By: John
This photo was taken between 2:30 and 4:00 a.m., caught with 0 lux setting on my web cam. I am into spiritualism. I talk regularly with what I perceive as a spirit guide. Whether this is him or not I don’t know. I can't really tell if it's a figure of a woman or man, or whether or not the person has glasses on, but the funny part is I was asking for a sign to prove there is something out there. So I set up the cam and went to bed like I do most nights. I usually only catch orbs and EVPs, and have caught the odd object moving. But the tape did not show the figure on normal run; I had to slow it down and catch it in a frame. My house often has voices heard at times by different people, and doors violently bang at night. My dog no longer sleeps downstairs; she bites and scratches the kitchen door to get out. I have EVP tapes of voices entering the kitchen, the dog in distress and lots of other sounds, walking, bells and my name being called constantly. I can catch about 5 to 15 orbs a night, and sounds. The funny thing is, I know when to tape. I don't know how, but a medium once told me these beings are attracted to me for whatever reason.
